Product Description

C-15 is designed as a curing agent for HTV silicone rubber used in compression moulding. When cured with C-15, the silicone becomes non-toxic, shows good resistance to yellowing, and has no offensive odour. The silicone base material should be cured at a high temperature of 170–175°C.

Processing:
Process conditions: cure at 175°C; add 0.8–1.2% C-15 relative to the silicone rubber. The agent should be introduced in many small batches. If this procedure is not followed, diminished electrostatic sparking combined with roller overheating may cause the compound to burn. Foam extinguishers are recommended for fire suppression.
