Product Description

SILICONE PRIMER

A key application of silicone primer is to bond uncured silicone rubber (both addition and peroxide systems) to metal, polyamide (PA), PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), and the like.

1. Chemical treatment of the substrate with solvent, Cleare oil and dust . 2. Mix completely the A and B with ratio 1:1 and apply the primer by dipping, brushing, spraying or silk screen printing method. 3. Baking at 90-135℃ for 15-20mintes. 4. The primer treated substrates are processed within that day. 
5. Foward the unvulcanized silicone rubber with primer-coated substrates in mouding process or hot air vulcanization. 

The product is to be stored in a dry, shaded environment, away from heat and open flame.
The cover should be replaced after each use to prevent volatilization. For prolonged storage, the used primer is to be kept separately.
As the solvent is considered harmful, adequate ventilation and fire protection must be provided in the workplace. Prolonged inhalation and dermal contact are to be avoided.
Compatibility testing between the silicone primer and substrates is required during mold curing. Contact with organic compounds (N, P, S) or ionic species (Sn, Pb, Hg, Sb, Bi) may result in inhibited curing.
